Sometimes I think it is not Disneyland, but rather Friday Harbor that is the happiest place on Earth. The Memorial Day weekend brought hoards of guests for the holiday weekend and the weekend of June 2 and 3 will certainly compete with the 21st Annual San Juan Artists’ Studio Tour. Last weekend the hills were alive with the Sound of Music. Our little community theatre put out a huge production of The Sound of Music with a lively cast and an orchestra in the pit. It was the first time I have been to a performance on the island with an orchestra and it really made the show.

The big story of the week is the weather.
At the time of this writing the sun is shining in a cloudless sky and it is predicted to reach the mid 70 degree mark. The exciting news is that it is supposed to be like this all week. In theIslandsthis means outdoor activities are on tap.
