June 17th, 2013 by MicheleSchool is out for summer and the ferry is full of folks coming to the islands and looking for some fun! The San Juans are the perfect place to enjoy some simple summer entertainment. From cruises to golf, from trail walks to art walks, you will see a little bit of everything if you look hard enough!
Know Your Island Walk: American Camp Trail Saturday June 22
Walk from town to American Camp from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 22 on the newest trail on San Juan Island. Meet Cinda and Mark Pierce for the Know Your Island Walk that is 6 miles one way. The Island Rec Van is providing a return ride to the southerly parking lot at Friday Harbor Airport (the one by the tower).
Cruise on the Solstice and Support the FH Film Festival
Spend a lovely Solstice evening, the longest day of the year Thurs. June 20, from 6-9 pm cruising among the islands of San Juan Channel. Departing from Spring Street Landing at 6 pm so all aboard at 5:45 PM!! Cruise among the beauty of the islands, while enjoying the sizzling saxophone of Teddy Deane. Nibble on savory appetizers and sweet treats. Sip on refreshing beer from Island Hopping Brewery, white wine from Spring Street General Store and assorted beverages donated by San Juan Excursions.

The Dog Show: Loving our 4 legged Friends WaterWorks Gallery is pleased to present the oil paintings of Jamie Ellsworth and the bronze & mixed media sculptures of Barbara Duzan. Both artists, multiple dog owners themselves, convey the love of their canine friends with unique styles that exude of love and humor.
Saturday Farmers Market
Enjoy locally grown produce, handcrafted items, savory and sweet foods and many smiling faces at the newly opened Brickworks site in Friday Harbor Saturday June 22nd at 10am. San Juan Island has a variety of very talented people and phenomenal gardens that make this market a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning.
