Thankfully this week kicks off the 2012 Holiday Eating Season.
Hopefully you will be home with your family and friends and not stranded at an airport coming or going. This year the big news is I bought a turkey at an auction for the Brickworks. The auction raised money for the renovation of the building where the farmers market is held. There was a dinner and auction which included bidding on a live bird from Sweet Earth Farm. My family moved to San Juan Island with a small surge in island population in the late seventies. We began by renting on San Juan Island to see if we liked the place. It wasn’t long before we decided it was prudent to buy since we knew we were staying. We were in our thirties and we had three young children.
